Wilson, Frederick (Fred)

Wilson, Frederick (Fred) Fred Wilson (T/293590) was born 31 March 1922. He enlisted 23 October 1941 at the age of 19 and got his training in Chesterfield and Eckington. In 1943 he was posted to Border Camp Aldershot and later to the 43 Div to Kent. His job was waterproofing WD vehicles all over Kent, Sick Parade to Dover Castle Hospital, etc. He married Betty Young on the 10th of April 1944. After the landing in Arromanches on 12 june 1944 he crossed Europe to end his WW2 time in Hannover, Germany with the 9 Coy RASC task force.
