Birmingham Branch to Normandy is ON

NVA Birmingham No.9 branch is visiting Normandy 4th. to 8th. June 2011. Numbers are low at the moment, NVA members from other branches  who might be interested, can join us in Birmingham or Dover, please see attached itinerary

67th. Anniversary “D” Day

Normandy visit, 4th. To 8th. June 2011

 

Saturday 4th.

After our early morning pick-up, we travel to Lisieux Normandy via Dover - Calais, ferry crossing,

Sunday 5th.

1030hrs. Parade and service at Collville- Montgomery

After lunch onto Caen memorial gardens, 1645 Beat the Retreat,

Monday 6th.

1015hrs. NVA & RBL Memorial service at Bayeux cathedral,

1200hrs. Wreath laying ceremony at Bayeux cemetery,

Return to Caen centre for free time, plenty to do in this area, or back to

Lisieux

Tuesday 7th.

Optional day TBA, (maybe Pegasus bridge museum and the Gondree café,

Wednesday 8th.

Return home via ferry crossing Calais - Dover

Five days x Four nights, staying at Grand L’Esperance hotel in Lisieux

£325.00pp. based on two sharing, B/B Single room supplement = £120.00pp.
